My microprinter is mysterious in a few ways. I bought it off ebay and picked it up from a man in a hotel parking lot off the M25. The plan had been for me to pick it up from where he was living, a 3 hour drive from london, but after the news of an unexpected death, he realised he would be driving past london anyway for the funeral. When I first got it there was something worrying I noticed - every time I tilted the machine, it made an unsettling sound, similar to that of a rainstick, as if somehow a squirrel was storing all his nuts inside. Upon finally managing to open the machine with the help of two friends, we made the startling discovery of a bunch of red and blue barley grains inside it. There is no logical explanation for this. I have not contacted the seller to ask him, as I know he was selling it on behalf of someone else, and the machine was quite musty, as if it had been sitting in a garage for many years. It took me over a year to find the instruction manual, which on the second page of google search results, and I have been in the process of slowly attempting to fix and restore it.
